American Beverage Association uses PPC Marketing to Shut Up NY Mayor Bloomberg


Honestly, this is PPC Marketing at it’s finest. The American Beverage Association is brilliantly leveraging Pay-Per-Click Advertising to counter the recent proposal by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to eliminate “super-sized” sugary sodas. The one thing to point out however, the ABA is not bidding on terms such as “soda and obesity”, etc… they are only going after Bloomberg, which is a little “short-sited” in my opinion.

In fact, the website entitled “Let’s Clear It Up” does not only provide MYTHS vs. FACTS, it also takes a “quiet jab” at Bloomberg saying that his facts are wrong about the link of Sugary Sodas and Obesity. (this is obviously a politically charged debate). Moreover, this website also includes links and logos to the leading soft drink Manufacturers who are members of the American Beverage Association such as Coca Cola, Pepsico & Snapple.
