An interesting article that should be of help in marketing more effectively. Another use of the Deming Cycle: Dr. Deming made to replace the C with and S, STudy for Check. For some reason few know this. Depending what you are doing, it can make all the difference.

There is an article on the Deming Collaboration Website on the difference called PDCA...PDSA is it as simple as C or an S? here: http://demingcollaboration.com/?page_id=1408

While the initial resource cost of statistical process control can be substantial the return on investment gained from the information and knowledge the tool creates proves to be a successful activity time and time again.

This tool requires a great deal of coordination and if done successfully can greatly improve a processes ability to be controlled and analyzed during process improvement projects.

Great post! I am firmly of the belief that it should always be a human managing a PPC account not a piece of software. Storytelling or human to human interaction is vital.

Six Sigma and SPC to support the a ‘common language of quality’ initiative, but as I have stated in a previously, I think a true Six Sigma approach is too vast and complicated for use in a Search Engine Marketing setting at this time.

I absolutely agree that PPC can be a huge information source for any start up. You can use all the keyword tools, estimating, etc...but nothing gives you the actual cost information and effectiveness like a real campaign. It will also tell you who your competition is, and which of your keywords will be the real heavy hitters.

I also agree that having a professional company do a one time audit is money well spent. We are constantly shocked at how many companies are spending $10k+ and have terrible campaign organization, targeting , etc.
