Yes, the question I am suggesting is "Why is Facebook Business Solutions so weird when it comes to businesses" Don’t get me wrong, Facebook on it’s own is a very addictive online product and an incredibly enormous following which is why pretty much of world has a Facebook page. However, the subject of this blog post is to talk about why the Facebook Polls service is a little "weird" especially when they charge you for it. For example, did you know that if you wanted to add a Poll to your Facebook page, it will cost you $0.25 cents per response, plus a $1 insertion fee and the maximum responses it can handle are a 100 and you have 24 hours or less time to run them.   • Highlights that Facebook Polls help get answers to important business questions, which is a stretch.
  • It’s labeled as a business solution, when it’s really only an additional feature.

C’mon, does Facebook really need to charge for this? Here’s an exact excerpt from Facebook: "We will charge your credit card a $1
insertion fee once you click the "Place Order" button. Your Poll will
go live immediately. Upon completion of your Poll, we will charge your
credit card for the responses you receive (up to an additional $25).
Because we charge your credit card at the conclusion of the Poll, we
will store your credit card information with your Facebook account once
you place your order, and you will not be able to remove it until your
order is finished.

for at most 24 hours but may finish sooner. The estimated run time is
only an approximation. Actual Poll completion time may vary
substantially, depending on your bid, audience targeting, time-of-day,
and the nature of your Poll. In rare cases, it is possible that you may

In Conclusion:
Let’s be real here, Facebook is a Monster Social Media Product with a unique opportunity to make a significant dent in online advertising dollars. However, they need to re-evaluate the concept that their Poll will influence business decisions when advertisers are limited to reaching only 100 people. That to me is a little inaccurate. Furthermore, charging for this service should also be revisited because they are kinda just nickle and diming their users and for what benefit?

At the very least, why not use a points system or something that all fees are donated to a Charity or something. Perhaps, if you are a registered 501c3 Nonprofit, this fee could be waived and responses can be increased to 1000. They definitely need to work on this service and find ways to make it more attractive to its users.
